Week 37: Banish Acne Scars

Welcome back amazing people!
Finally finished my third year of uni!  Can't believe how fast time has been flying lately (so crazy).  Now that I'm done school for the summer, you can expect to see a lot more updates and blog posts. Another exciting announcement is to expect to see a couple new YouTube videos posted.  I know I fell behind on making those; truth be told it isn't really for me.  I much rather prefer blogging about my progress BUT I am going to be putting out a couple new product-specific videos as well as some updates on my skin's progress.  With all of that being said, let's move onto this week's progress + before and after photos (my personal favourite part)!

 I can't even believe the difference, literally like night and day if you ask me.  Mind you, the before photo was taken well over a year ago when my acne and acne scarring was at its worst.  I've made a lot of changes though since then to get my face to the way it is today (see list below):

1. Obviously I have to thank the Banish Acne Scars brand!  With the help of their products such as the Banish Acne Scars System (kit includes: M-sized roller and their Vitamin C, E, Ferulic Acid Serum), the Pumpkin Enzyme Masque, the Vitamin C Beauty Elixir, and the newest addition to their range, the Pore Smasher! (you can see separate reviews on each by clicking the name)  
2. Implementing a new skincare regimen, Proactiv+, has helped to get rid of majority of my active acne (minus those special few that come during PMS).
3. Using birth control as a way of controlling my hormonal acne.  I started out with Alesse and worked my way up to Tri-Cyclen Lo.  Birth control has really done wonders on my skin, specifically the hormonal breakouts I used to get around my chin and jaw line.

 Along with these three things, I have also been increasing my water intake as well as my vegetable intake!  I also like to add some fresh lemon juice into my water to help flush out any toxins from my body.  Overall, I am very happy with my skin and look forward to where my journey leads in the future.  Remember, if you are struggling with acne or acne scars, don't give up!  Neither define who you are as a person; just keep pushing through and I promise it will get better :)
