Welcome back wonderful people!
Whenever I start these blog posts, I always put on my Steve Harvey voice and I am so tempted to say his signature line, "Weelllll, we got a good one for ya today!" However, I am going to refrain from that I just get right into business. Today's before and after pictures really showcase how far my skin has come, and how much further I still have to go. As I look back on all the pictures I have taken throughout the past 2 years, I am amazed at the progression that my skin has made. As well, I am so glad I stuck with taking pictures not only for all of you but for myself too! Now onto the evidence (or "receipts" LOL I hate that term).
The before pictures (on the left), were taken on August 5, 2015 and the after pictures (on the right) were taken today! So, we are looking at about a year and a half (if not more) and I'm quite happy to say that a lot of my redness has come down as well as a huge improvement with the scars on my chin/jawline and cheek areas.
The close-up shots of the before pictures really show how acne prone my skin used to be (before I went on birth control, altered my diet, and found the ideal skincare regimen for me). It's so crazy to think that sometimes I think my skin looks crappy now and it isn't until I look at pictures from before that I realize and appreciate how far my skin has come.
If your skin is at its worst right now and you literally just want to hide in your room all day and not come out, believe me when I say I have been in your exact shoes before. BUT! It is so important to remember that you are not defined by your acne. Your acne scars to not define who you are as a person. You are beautiful inside and out no matter what society says about acne, pimples, scars, etc.
